But just like with the PS4 and PS5 consoles, PlayStation may well see success through its first-party game lineup – and it’s off to a good start with Horizon Call of the Mountain. Sony may not offer the wireless freedom, or even the quantity of games, that more affordable headsets currently offer. Not only has Sony redesigned the controllers to make them more ergonomic, but it’s also added high-end features such as a 4K OLED display, haptic feedback and eye-tracking technology.īut since Sony launched the original PlayStation VR headset, the virtual reality market has really matured, with excellent wireless options such as the Meta Quest 2 and Pico 4.
The PlayStation VR 2 is Sony’s second attempt at a virtual reality headset, and it’s a substantial improvement on the original. Requires a PS5 to function: It can’t run indepedently like the Meta Quest 2 and Pico 4.
